Foodservice POS: Breaking Down the Hardware
As the year draws to a close, Chain Store Guide’s US-based primary research team and call center are in the midst of data-gathering initiatives in support of next year’s first two publications – the 2017 Directory of Foodservice Technology and 2017 Directory of Retail Technology. These publications (available in January) provide technology suppliers with an inside look at the purchasing decisions of more than 1,600 foodservice companies (each with 20 or more units) and access to the executives and personnel who call the shots. The corresponding online-accessible databases are routinely updated throughout the year and offer hundreds of search options.
The following charts display the installed hardware and printer base in US foodservice establishments using aggregate data from the current edition of the Directory of Foodservice Technology.
We’ll pass along additional findings and updated data on the state of technology in the restaurant and retail industries as we work towards publication of the newest directories.
